Rappelling in Nahal Tmarim
Nahal Tamarim is one of the most beautiful in the northern part of the Judean Desert
Length of the route
The route begins at the plantation near the road crossing of Nahal Tamarim on Route 90, where the car is parked. You should pay attention to burglaries.
From there begins a steep hike that takes about an hour and a half, which at its peak reaches the view of the entire Dead Sea, from which there is another 20 minutes' descent to the first waterfall.
The track has 4 or 5 waterfalls (depends on you at heights of 60, 55, 45 and 25.
The slides are long but not particularly hard.
It is recommended to start at 7:00 am so as not to be dragged into darkness.
Points of interest
The observation at the end of the climb is worth the trip, even without the rappelling trip after it, and worth the trip also as a short trip on Route 90.
From October to May, the summer is too hot and there is no shade.
Pay attention to the flood forecast if you are traveling independently.
